About Us

The Grant Bradley Trust was set up in 2002, founded by Peter Bradley and Canon Gregory Grant of St Patrick’s Church in Bristol.

Peter and Gregory set up the Trust with the objectives of advancing the Catholic faith and helping the poor, homeless, sick and elderly.

The Trust receives dozens of requests each year for financial support from charities and good causes that are all worthwhile and a credit to those “out in the field”, who are working with great enthusiasm for the benefit of others. They often thank us for our contribution but in reality it is their work that is making the day to day difference to the lives of those most in need.

We can assist them with our prayers and practically, with our money. We would like to be able to help everyone who requests our support but this is not always possible.

The Trust receives individual donations and corporate donations. Our major corporate donor is The PG Group which is a Bristol based company established by Peter and Gregory with the goal of earning income for the Trust.

Objectives

The formal objectives, as set out in the Trust Deed, can be viewed below:-

The advancement of the Roman Catholic and Christian faith in any part of the world

The relief of poverty and sickness by the provision of housing and associated amenities for persons in necessitous circumstances on terms appropriate to their means

The relief of the elderly by the provision of housing and associated amenities especially designed or adapted to meet the disabilities and requirements of such persons.

The relief of poverty, the relief of sickness and the advancement of education in particular, but not exclusively, by providing, equipping and maintaining schools and hospitals in the Third World.

Our Trustees

Canon Gregory is one of the founder members of the Trust and is the Chair of the Board of Trustees. He has been the Parish Priest of St Patricks church Redfield in Bristol since 1988

Canon Gregory Grant

Fiona is one of the founder members of the trust and is the board member of the PG Group responsible for finance. Fiona is also the Chair of Governors at St Patrick's Primary School.

Fiona Bradley

Terry is one of the founder members of the Trust. Terry is retired but provides practical assistance with the maintenance of the Trust's properties in addition to providing governance in his role as a trustee.

Terry Coggins

Paul was appointed as a Trustee in 2021. After a distinguished career with British Airways Paul became a director of The PG Group.

Paul Gaiger

Rebecca was appointed a Trustee in 2019. Rebecca is the deputy head of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Primary School.

Rebecca Bradley

Jismon was appointed as a Trustee in 2021. Jismon is in his 4th year studying a masters degree in physics at the University of Bristol.
